Lemberger was already extremely popular at the royal court of Empress Maria Theresa. Lemberger is registered in Slovakia since 1941. It is one of the most common varieties grown in Slovakia.

Lemberger makes for wines with a higher sugar content of the grapes great experience - these wines are intense red, the fragrance feel forest berries, as well as cherries, plums, chocolate or cinnamon. The taste is extractive, velvety with a hint of chocolate.

Lemberger especially in good years deserves maturation in oak barrels, thus the quality and complexity increases. Lemberger makes wines suitable for archiving.
